Reflections on the Week: Challenges, Wins & What’s Next

It’s been one of those weeks where business and life blended together in all the right ways — a mix of problem-solving, progress, unexpected moments, and a little bit of downtime too.

Back to Meta Ads After a Break 🎯

After several months away from Facebook ads, we’ve finally dived back in. And wow… a lot has changed. The platform feels like a completely different landscape, with new features, new rules, and new hoops to jump through to make Meta work the way we need it to.

It’s been a challenge — relearning the system, testing different campaigns, and working out what gets results in today’s algorithm-driven world. But with every test comes clarity, and slowly but surely, we’re piecing it all together.

Building Our New Auto-Responder Campaign ✉️

At the same time, we’ve been setting up and testing a brand-new auto-responder sequence. Email is still such a powerful way to connect, nurture, and build relationships, and getting this campaign right is a big priority.

There’s something exciting about seeing all the moving parts come together: opt-ins, emails, sequences, and the chance to build something that works around the clock. It’s a lot of work upfront — but it’s going to be worth it.

Life Outside of Work 🍽️🍹

Of course, it hasn’t all been funnels and ads.

One evening, what was meant to be a simple end-of-day walk with my wife turned into an impromptu dinner out. Those little surprises are often the best moments.

I also caught up with friends at the local pub — nothing like familiar faces and good conversation to reset after a busy day.

The weekend is due to kick off with a night of live music at our local cocktail bar 🎶🍸, followed by a couple of slower days to properly recharge. Because as much as we love the hustle, rest is fuel for what comes next.

Looking Ahead 🚀

Next week is shaping up to be just as exciting. Alongside the ongoing Meta ads testing and email campaign fine-tuning, we’re weighing up a bigger decision: the possibility of launching our very own software.

The idea? A tool designed to support our community in affiliate marketing — something practical, powerful, and built to help others grow their own online businesses.

It’s early days, but the potential is huge, and we’re buzzing about where this could lead.

I will also continue with my minimum of 2 miles a day specific walk - this started on May 1st to raise money for dementia - this initially was a 30 day challenged - revamped to make it more of a challenge to do this for a full year 365 days of minimum of 2 mile walk.

Final Thoughts 💡

This past week has been a reminder that progress is rarely a straight line. Some days it’s about learning, some days it’s about testing, and others it’s about simply enjoying the people and places around you.

We’re ending the week with gratitude — for the challenges that push us, the friends and family that ground us, and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Here’s to more progress, more connection, and maybe another impromptu dinner or two along the way.
