Day 29
Pressing Pause: A Few Days in Scotland with Family, Football & Fresh Adventures
Sometimes the best way to recharge isn’t by switching off completely — it’s by stepping into a different rhythm. That’s exactly what I’m doing right now: taking some time out to connect with family, explore new places, and still keep the wheels turning on a little bit of work.

Our trip takes us north to Scotland, where one of the highlights is watching our daughter step out on the pitch for Glasgow Celtic. Seeing her play at this level isn’t just a proud-parent moment — it’s a reminder of the dedication and resilience that drive all journeys, whether in sport, business, or life.

We’re making the most of being here. A few sightseeing stops, long walks, and new adventures give us a chance to soak in Scotland’s charm. From hidden corners of the city to breathtaking views beyond, every stop blends exploration with reflection.

And yes, there’s work too — a couple of check-ins, some planning, and a bit of creative thinking. But it doesn’t feel like “work”; it feels like weaving progress into the spaces between family meals, laughter, and quiet moments.

The truth is, these pauses matter. They remind us why we work so hard in the first place, and how important it is to stay connected with the people and experiences that fuel us.
As the trip unfolds, I carry with me not just the joy of good food and great company, but also a renewed sense of balance — the kind that only comes when you let yourself press pause.
